"Bad Company Corrupts Good Character"

I seen this today and it made me think of this framed quote my Aunt Leslie always carried around. The quote read " Bad company corrupts good character." I just think back to high school and how instead of brushing it off I should have took heed to those five simple yet powerful words. People in todays society are infatuated with impressing the next person or being known to hang with him or her. As my friend says " The thirst is REAL!" Some people are not in your life to add to it or help you become a better you, they are there on your coattail trying to find out what they can get from surrounding themselves around you. Reality is NOT everyone is your friend and some people got to go! Just because you and  Lil Sue Sue used to ride the see- saw together DOES NOT mean she belongs in your inner circle with a front row seat. Im not saying drop your friends that are on a different level from you. What I am saying is if you and someone are on two significantly different walks of life it is time to take a bow and move on back to the seat in the third row. Having associates is not a bad thing everyone is not nor do they deserve to be considered your FRIEND. I found something on UrbanDictionary.com about what a friend is.

A friend is someone you like so much, you start to like the things they like. A friend is a partner, not a leader or a follower. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, yet believe it or not its time to take a bow and move back to a nose bleed seat in some peoples' lives. Its not a bad thing, in life you have to do what is best for YOU! Life is NOT a dressed rehersal, you only have this ONE shot. Have a Great Day!
