inauguration weekend

Sooo my internet crashed and I've been trying to avoid posting from my phone but I have to do what I have to do. And although the inauguration is over I still want to share how my weekend went DOWN!  Lol. My cousin came into town and brought a friend and a passenger it seemed.  I cooked dinner you know be the hostess with the mostest as usual.  I was super excited.  My cousin and I are really close even though we live 4hrs away from one another.  I was waiting for this weekend. The first thing on the agenda was the infamous "Grits and Biscuits" party that we MISSED because they got lost and my  cousin mixed up the dates! Lol told me it was on sat it was really on FRIDAY!  Smh So I get my mixologist on and the fun begins! After her "friend" groans about raw shea butter and solicits unwanted advice about what temperature flat irons should be on and how there's a one pass rule HA!!! Long story short yall can predict who votes themselves off the island.  This girl leaves the wolf pack and then there were 3! Anywhooo I was the weekend MVP star player for snagging a very beautiful pic with the very handsome and talented actor Lance Gross ("House of payne", "Our family wedding", "Temptation"..etc) needless to say Saturday was a good day! Then Monday arrived the whole purpose of the weekend festivities the 2013 Presidential Inauguration!!!! I had no intention on going. We had to wake up early, bustle through crowds,  walk for miles, etc!! BUT I was forced so I got up got cute and warm and we were on our way! We finally arrived on the national mall and found a spot to stand among people from all over the country and watched our President address the nation. The feeling of that moment was one I will never forget.  The looks in people's eyes of belief and hope was amazing.  I was there, witnessing history humbled and amazed.  I have always been a dreamer (Pisces), full of passion and ideas. I was overjoyed!  In my heart I knew everything in my mind and heart that I want to accomplish will be! After we walked over to the MLK memorial, after all it was MLK day lol. This older man was there reading Dr. Kings "I have a Dream" speech. It was GREAT!  Got kind of blown because I was hungry LOL.  It was a great weekend!  S/O to Alexis and Kassandra with a K! Role models young, educated, and fabulous!  I really just long for a time when women stop being so negative and help each other be better.  let me focus that's for another post.
