Good Friends...

For some reason friendship has been a topic to discuss lately. I encourage you to read Exodus 17:8-15 it focuses on how God is our guaranteed victory (Jehovah Nissi-the lord is my banner of victory) But I want to point out verses 12-13 which states: " 12 But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword." You see everyone needs Good friends. EVERYONE! We all go through a period of feeling alone or as if nobody understands us. That is the time where the Lord is trying to get our attention. He's trying to say "Look at me! Come to me! Call on me!" We all need GOOD friends that will pray with us and for us, friends that won't get mad at disagreements but want to work to solve disagreements, friends that pray for your success, friends that hold you accountable and help you stay focused on what God has called you to do. You see if Moses didn't have Aaron and Hur, Joshua would have lost the battle. But those two good friends that stood by him they were there to support him and helped him fulfill a duty.
