Seems like the world is in an uproar over the "Not guilty" verdict for George Zimmerman. A lot of thoughts race through my mind right now, the main thought being that could have been my son. Granted my son is only three (4 in August) but Trayvon represents young boys across America. Its baffeling that Michael Vick was SENTENCED 2 years, forced to live in a halfway house, and had to perform community service for a DOG, yet George Zimmerman gets away CLEAN for MURDERING a young boy! Trayvon was weaponless and defenseless against George. Its saddening that a dog has more value than a HUMAN! Its hard to not look at this as a racial matter but EEVERYONE knows that if George was a Caucasian boy and Trayvon was an African American neighborhood watch patroller hands down he would have been convicted and sentenced for murder! Some say this is the modern day Emitt Till story, and history does repeat itself. Sad day for America. Florida is the same state that let a woman go free for killing her own daughter. Its safe to say don't go to Florida. All we can do is pray hard and believe things will get better for all.
It could also be arguyed that George Zimmerman was defending himself. Most people cannot comprehend taking a beating to a point where your blood is in plain view and not doing anything about it.
